Ammonia Needleflanged Exp (or EXP) is a specialized type of piping material developed specifically for transporting ammonia. The EXP is made from cast iron and has a curved, vented expansion joint that reduces the effects of temperature changes and helps to maintain the temperature of ammonia. This type of piping system is commonly utilized in large industrial applications such as refrigeration, air conditioning, and other cooling and heating applications. The EXP is constructed with a fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin.
